Participants in the Wings for Life World Run on May 4th in Vienna will experience a spectacular change of location this year: For the first time, the event village and the start area from the popular flagship run of the global charity race will be moved to Heldenplatz. Runners and visitors can look forward to an exciting event weekend in the unique setting, with the Hofburg, the adjacent Natural History and Art History Museums, and a view of the City Hall. Double Olympic champion Anna Gasser will once again pilot the Catcher Car, becoming the moving finish line for thousands of participants who will gather at the start line in front of the Outer Burgtor on the Ringstrasse. Together with Paralympics legend Reini Sampl, she will set off 30 minutes after the start gun to gradually catch up with the runners and wheelchair participants, bringing them across the finish line. 🙌
